Frequently Asked Questions.
Where do the counselling sessions take place?
Relationship-Talk is located in the Sydney CBD - at 75 King Street. All sessions are delivered face-to-face in the office or online through Zoom. We also have the option of walk-n-talk counselling sessions through the beautiful Sydney Botanic Gardens.
Are the sessions confidential?
Dr. Cory is a registered psychologist, and is professionally bound by rules of confidentiality. Mariam Middleton is a registered social worker, and is professionally bound by rules of confidentiality.
In regards to confidentiality in couples therapy specifically, for therapy to be effective, it is important that the therapists does NOT keep any secrets from either of the partners in therapy. What this means for couples therapy and confidentiality is that we will NOT be keeping ANY conversations had (whether face-to-face or by email/phone) confidential from the other partner in couples therapy. Anything shared with the couples therapist needs to be shared in the joint couple sessions. Under no circumstances will we keep information provided by one partner confidential from the other partner in couples therapy.

In your first session, we will work with you to agree on the specific results to be achieved. Ultimately it is your ability to continuously and relentlessly execute the plans that will determine the speed and success of your results. We are here to encourage you to focused on your therapeutic goals.
